2001 D/A bone stock from intake to exhaust.

We went to install the DSP5 switch and when all was done and put back together...it will crank, but no start.

All pins on the ECM and TCM are straight. None of the sockets are lose or pushed in. We removed the DSP5 switch and nothing changed. When we turn on the ignition the check engine light is NOT on, the fuel gauge reads empty (had >1/2 tank when he came in), and there is no box on the range indicator (PRND321).

When I try to check the status with EFI LIVE I get nothing. It goes to
"Checking Status - Attempt 10 of 10" and gives me an unknown state error message. It does this for both ECM and TCM. I never read or flashed the ECM. This occurred after installing the switch, we hadn't even got to the tuning part yet.

As of now, I've tried everything I can think of. I'm open to any and all ideas to help narrow this down.

Yes, I know....obvious....but check all your fuses. Id be looking at the IGN and ECM fuses first. You could very well have fried one accidentally.

Yes, Tom....obvious...which is why I feel like a tard right now. :duh:

We had 3 sets of eyes on the fuses last night, and I personally checked them at least twice. But, it was dark and we were looking at them with a flashlight.:confuzeld

This morning in fresh daylight I pulled everyone of them individually and found the 20A ECM2 fuse had blown. All is good now.

Thanks for the reminder Tom.:beerchug:

Didnt mean to embarrass you....but its almost always the obvious things....dont feel like a tard, we've all done it.

No worries, I'm not embarrassed. I've been wrenching long enough to know to laugh off these kinda things. Happens to the best of 'em. I'm just glade it was the obvious thing instead of a toasted ECM/TCM.
