: Tired of DPF I want a delete kit!!
traitor 07-30-2010, 11:05 PM I have 120k on my 2007.5 LMM, here lately I am having more and more idle time on the motor. I am tired of the check engine light coming on every morning, what is the cheapest route for a delete kit? I don't want to throw any codes but I also want my Duramax back!!

The Quadzilla Stealth-II is still probably the cheapest tuner and also still allows DPF AND NON-DPF use. You can load either set of tunes at will.
I still suggest the MBRP exhaust, as it is - in my opinion - the best compromise of fit and cost. The cheaper you go, the harder the fit will be. I think the MBRP aluminized steel kit is around $300.
mreeves23 07-31-2010, 10:35 AM PM sent you! I carry everything to make a DPF delete happen. Let me know if you would like any different options. I can get you exactly what you want!
Eddysel 07-31-2010, 10:50 AM I'd say hook up with Nick from Duramaxtuner.com. Get EFI Live or just have him send you a new ECM already tuned to your liking whether it be a single tune or a DSP5 or DSP2 multiple tune setup. Get the MBRP 5" cat back and you'll be good to go.
I went the route of the "box 'o tunes" before and within a week I felt very limited in the control I had over my own truck. I like to know what's going on.
Get some gauges as well. Boost and pyro will serve you well.
Don't go "cheap" when dealing with a $50K truck....you both deserve the best!...
hemisareslow 07-31-2010, 11:19 AM I have the edge race evolution and a 4" mbrp turbo back exhuast...love it and easy to install/use
I feel your pain man, i've got just under 40k on the clock and I realized how much I hate the dpf while towing my new trailer. I just ordered my quad and exhaust.

After driving it 40K, you are really going to appreciate the change. At 2000miles, it was very noticeable, but I hadn't had the truck very long. The truck is completely different after the change and you're going to be pleasantly surprised.
hemisareslow 07-31-2010, 01:50 PM And it sounds cool as hell

Your Quad won't allow for much change in sound. It'll hiss just the same, maybe just a little louder at idle. If you wanted a "change" in the sound at idle, should have gone another route in tuners. Now WOT, it does sound nice. I liked my Quad, but decided to go another route, cuz I wanted gauges. But you will love the difference between stock and tuned, no doubt! Enjoy! Chris

Im not to worried about the hiss, my 04 used to hiss like crazy.
A friend has a HP Tuners and said he would put a towing tune on my truck and get rid of that hiss. I might go that route, once I get some gauges.

StevenE 08-04-2010, 11:17 AM I'm considering this modification however I'm not real sure about the Missouri safety inspection. I would think that a dp back system would not be too hard to reinstall with the cat and dpf for the inspection. Also, I currently have an Edge CTS non-race ... I guess its not upgradable to the race version.
sarends 08-07-2010, 08:59 AM Do you sell a kit where I can (easily) return to stock in order to pass emissions? Where I live I need to pass emissions every two years.
