Hi everyone...love my Lux system, but sometimes even it has trouble presenting "noisy, busy" music clearly. Its beautiful with everything else, but once "noisy" "loud" rock comes on, some detail gets lost (its pretty hard for any speakers to display this kind of music clearly). I was thinking of using a Line Output Converter on the front speaker outputs and then an aftermarket amp/speakers in the front while keeping the rear speakers stock, powered by my Luxury Bose amp. What is the absolute BEST Line output Converter out there? I know you can get them for 10$ from WalMart, but I am a firm beleiver in you get what you pay for. So far I have found a 60$ 2-channel unit from Soundgate which looks quite promising. Its called the Soundgate LOC4.2. Anyone have any experience with this unit?
Many thanks---Ben

You already have line level between the Pose HU and Pose amp. You can cut it and splice in an RCA cable.
Or you could just ditch the Pose all together and get a real HU :)......

Ahhh but that doesnt work with the Lux system...The Luxury Bose amp works completely differently than the (IMO" crap Bose amp that came with our trucks. The way the lux system works is it sends left and right audio channels at a constant very low level to the amp. NO volume, fade, balance, bass, treble or mid adjustments are made in the head unit. Its all done via Class II data. So when you turn up the volume knob in a LUX amp vehicle, you are NOT varying the low level signal that is sent to the amp. You are simply just sending a Class II data signal to the amp that says "hey turn up a bit". Same goes when you adjust the bass, treble, fade, balance, DSP, etc.. This is the main reason the lux system sounds better. All adjustments are made at the furthest possible point "down the line" between the head unit and the speakers. The head unit doesnt even send rear channels to the amp. Only left and right. The amp has a full onboard computer and DSP that "makes up" two rear channels based on the fader setting Class II data it is recieving from the head unit. Soooo basically you cant just intercept the audio between the amp and the head unit on a LUX system. There would be no way of varying volume and the output would be very very low. So LOC's are basically my only option.
Hehe as for getting a "real" head unit...I must admit I am perfectly happy with my Escalade touchscreen nav...wouldnt want it any other way!! I guess im kinda anal about things like that looking factory stock with perfect integration:rolleyes: ...
