I am looking to trade my 06 Cummins Mega Cab for a Black 08 Duramax with 45k miles. I drove the truck and it is nice:
1) Beautiful "look" and overall condition
2) Great motor and Allison combo - they just feel right together
Here is the only potential show stopper - the truck has a 4" lift with Hankook 315 70 17 tires. They look awesome but I would have preferred stock ride height and stock tires for better fuel economy and also better longevity of tranny (assuming that larger tires are generally harder on a tranny). I drive my truck 2,500 miles per month - it is my office. I am afraid the 35" Hankooks are not going to ride well enough for my (pretty fussy) tastes - esp since I will be glued to this truck 12 hours per day.
Can anybody think of some solutions that would:
1) Offer better ride than the 315 70 17 Hankooks
2) Not look ridiculous with the 4" lift
