Hey everyone.
I was talking with my service manager about this. I am completely disappointed with my MPG in my LMM and Im really leaning towards a DPF delete and a Edge tuner. This leads me towards warranty, we all know the answer (Tranny blown Tech II snapshot max recorded torque warranty void) Can I buy a spare ECM have it benchloaded... keep my clean "programmer free ECM" on the side. Say I blow up my tranny and I throw my clean ECM back in would that work?
My service manager says yes it would work but I am looking for defenite answers. My service manager says GM is now pretty relaxed with tranny issues if you blow one up, but an engine blown there going to snoop.
Thanks
Bill

If they really want to dig they can check how many regens were done in the life of your truck and the numbers won't work out correctly. It MIGHT work but if they're in a picky mood it MIGHT not.

That's what I did - Kennedy Diesel tuned ecm - stock ecm and dpf in the attic for safe keeping, easy. Great tune and service from John Kennedy and my stock, clean ecm is ready to back in the truck if I need it.

You need a spair TCM. The ECM records number of flashes and regens. TCM records max torque.
