Ok, well I told myself when I bought this truck I wouldn't get the bombin bug again, but alas, I've got it! :D
I'm thinking something more mild this go round. I.e just a tuner and DPF and EGR delete. I really don't want to have to put in a built trans and all the extra's this go round.

IF I do a simple out of the box tuner like the Edge CTS and DPF Delete, is the stock exhaust more than sufficient? We do some pulling and it's in the mountains. I have NO desire for another loud diesel (gettin old) but don't want to run hot with a tow tune on there

We have tried to keep all of the DPF stuff in this DPF_Thread (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=212196)

Yes, that will work, but you will still have the cat which is a large restriction as well. It is easiest to just go with a full exhaust. Feel free to give me a holler if you have any questions.

I'm gettin old and not interested in a loud exhaust anymore. Whats out there that gives the truck a near stock sound level? I also can't stand that drone that some aftermarket exhausts give at highway speeds. Any recommendations?

Corsa, Diamond Eye, and Hushpower (by Flowmaster) are the quietest IMO.
