This morning, I turned on the A/C on then swithced to over to defroster and turned the heat up to clear the condensate off of the windshield. After it cleared, I switched to A/C and turned the tempurature back to cold. The drivers side was cold, but the passengers side was very hot, as all the way hot. This is on a 03 2500hd cc ls 6.0 with manual climate control.
Anybody got any ideas? I still have the factory warranty, so I will probably take it in today. I have not gone back out to see if it has switched over or not after letting it sit for several hours. Also, it stayed this way for about 30 min. on the way to work.
Thanks.
Same thing happened to my 2004 dmax in the first week. Apparently one of the slider controls was bad.

Thanks for the replies. It did the same thing to me this morning, but after I switched it over and it blew hot air I turned the truck off for 30 seconds and when I started it back up, it blew cold air. I will be taking it in soon.
I will also add this has happended on my last 3 chevys all during warranty periods.

Weak temp actuator. It is too weak to move the mode door when the fan is blowing against it. I replace ALOT of them...

What have ya'll determined the problem is. Mine is unfortunately out of warranty and the driver side is frequently just all of a sudden switching to blowing hot air while the passenger side remains cold. Let me know please. Thanks.
