OK, I need some help from you diesel techs. In the past 2 week I have gotten a check engine light twice and pulled the same codes without the light 2 other times and it has been the same codes. I am getting a p0193 and P0194.

Code:
P0193
Modules:
ECM
Description:
Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) Sensor Circuit High Voltage

Code:
P0194
Modules:
Description:
Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Intermittent

I am trying to figure out what it is, I think that it is the FPR but am not sure and am hoping that it is not the injection pump. I have only gotten the Check Engine Light after the truck idles for about 10 mins or so and then, I put it into drive and try to accelerate. All that happens is the truck idles for 10 seconds or so then is back to normal. I have change the fuel filter 3k ago and then again 300 miles ago and it is still doing it. Can some on please help I don’t want to take it to the stealer without some knowledge on this problem. Thanks for your help!

hate to say it but when I had those 2 codes it was the CP3. Hows the truck run? I think I bought my truck with a bad pump but I had never been inside a duramax before. When we towed a car for the first time the truck didnt seem very ballsy and we knew something was up. My brothers stock 02 cclb would beat me in a race with the PPE on lvl 5....it was a turd.

It runs fine and if I tune up the tune it has way more go but it is just the couple or 4 times that I have had these codes. I know that if I dont run 2-stroke I will get a lope in the idle that you can see in the tach, that is why I am leaning towards the FPR. Thanks for the response.

It sounds like more of a sensor problem than a pump problem. Have you checked all the connectors for the rail pressure sensor? And all associated wiring? When my pump went bad, I got p1093 and p1094 codes without a CEL.

^x2. The only time I got a CEL was once when towing a car.

I will double check everything, something might have worked it self loose. Thanks for the advice.
