I have changed my clutch and when I did so I draned the fluid and the local dealer said that they didn't have what it called for in stock But I should be about to get something like it for napa or something like that. Which manual says to use TranSynd Synthetic transmission fluid GM #12378515
Well I asked the Napa guy and he gave me this Micron V (5) trans. fluid and when I get home I see that its a synthetic blend. Is that the same thing or will it mess the trans up by run this in it? I have already put like 100 miles on it with that fluid in it. Please help because I don't want to mess it up cause of that.

The Transynd is the correct fluid to use. If it is not ready available, I would use syn. Dexron.

By the way I have some Transynd sitting in the barn if needed. Price I got from dealer was around $16 per quart

I put Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF in mine when it was dropped for flywheel & clutch replacement.

Well what I got from Napa was the best they had ( don't know if thats all that good ) but I saw where it was only a Synthetic blend and not totally synthetic. So if what you guys are saying is that I need to swap the Valvaline (sp?) in it out and get some fully syn. ATF. Right?
