Hello @ all

I have got some problems on my new 6.5 engine.

Last week I put a 98 engine in my 94 truck.
I changed nothing on the engine except of a new waterpump and the brackets of the 94 belt drive.

The engine starts fine but the idle speed is at 1100rpm.
Does anyone know a reason for high idle speed?
Do I have to change any other stuff?

I still have to do some other things and donīt drive the truck on the road so far.
I started the engine several times and let it run about 10 minutes but the idle speed is still at 1100rpm.

One more question about oil pressure.
What is the correct oil pressure for a cold and a warm engine in idle?

Thanks
Jan

Check your coolant temp sensor,it will make it idle like that and when you drive it will not shift into over drive.
