Does it matter where you tap for a boost guage ? :help2:

From another post the concept of tapping pre intercooler and after intercooler gives different boost readings.
I suspect a SD manifold tap would be a true boost reading for the engine, but how will a wastegate line tap compare ? .

Now for the record I have a tap into the wastegate line and my boostgage (using a leak down guage) reads right with my Edge Attitude monitor (until Attitude peaks out). I am peaking at 29.5lbs of boost with my mods.

It depends what you want to read. IMO it really dosnt matter. As long as your comparing apples to apples btween other members(know if they are talking pre or post) you only lose a pound or 2 through the IC that I have seen.

Where's the best place to tap into on an '05? My instructions say to use the waste gate line, but I dont have one. Im not crazy about dropping $100 for the SD manifold either!
