hello,

I Am new to this board so I hope I don't make an @$$ of myself on my first post.

I Was looking to do a 6.2L drop into my 93 ranger splash...I couldn't find anything about this being done before... but I am interested...

anyone else know anything about this? I Was going to do a 387 stroker ( 5.8L ) but then I Decided that I didn't want to... too normal... diesel is the way to go..

thanks for your help in advance.

You'll probably need to grease up the sides and use a big hammer - that's a big engine into a tiny little truck. I'm sure it is possible, but you are really going to have to want to do it. I'd suggest going with a Benz turbodiesel instead, it's a bit lighter. You'll probably have to work hard to provide the length needed, but electric fans would help.

The 6.2 fits nicely into a Chevy C1500 - there's room to work with under that hood.

Bye bye inner fender wells? You're using a chevy trans, right? Would make it a ton easier. I've seen a 6.5TD vette, a 6.2NA mustang 4x4 (I don't know why either), and a guy with a 4BT lawnmower. Anything is possible.

if you can watch it online, watch Trucks on Spike..they just put a V8 into a Mazda B2200 (same thing as a ranger) It should give you some tips and what not.
