The fuel company paid to get everything corrected. Water has no lubricating properties at all. Your injector pump and the injectors themselves rely on the lubricating capability of the diesel fuel. Running a water slug through a hot injector tip has been known to blow the tip right off the injector body. Water hits the hot injector tip & turns instantly to steam. The steam can't escape quickly enough & the resulting rapid expansion will blow the tip into the combustion chamber. The tip will then dance around in the cylinder and make the piston top look like the surface of the moon. To fix it, just bring LOTS of money! Censored Take the tank off if you have to, but get that water OUT of there! Britt | ||
