I have changed my clutch and when I did so I draned the fluid and the local dealer said that they didn't have what it called for in stock But I should be about to get something like it for napa or something like that. Which manual says to use TranSynd Synthetic transmission fluid GM #12378515
Well I asked the Napa guy and he gave me this Micron V (5) trans. fluid and when I get home I see that its a synthetic blend. Is that the same thing or will it mess the trans up by run this in it? I have already put like 100 miles on it with that fluid in it. Please help because I don't want to mess it up cause of that.

Can anyone help me on this? I really need to know if I can run this in it or something else or do I can I run just GMs oil in it? I heard that the oil from GM is like $16/ qt.

When in doubt, I would go ahead and change it - It'll always be in the back of your mind.

The GM is $$ but at least you know it'll work. You also might try Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. I know someone on the board is running it. Might be cheaper.

Went ahead and got GMs pricey stuff. The nice thing is the guy there is like well here look the dealer pays $9.20/qt and I'll sell it to you for $10 and He showed me on the computer and that was the dealers cost so I thought that I would rather pay alittle extra and know that it is everything my trans needs.
