Tolliwacker 07-23-2010, 10:40 PM Sounds like the buttons may be your problem, but it maybe something else. I have never had a bit of trouble out of my unreliable 4wd pushbutton in 197,000 miles, just the pump rub, but any case can get that, and it was EASY to fix just like if it is the buttons...... DAVe3283 07-25-2010, 04:04 PM After 220,000 miles my "unreliable" push-button 4x4 did finally have it's first (and only) problem to date: it didn't go into 4x4 when I hit the button. I disconnected the batteries, went under the truck, and cleaned all the connectors (several were loose). Finally, made sure all the wires weren't rubbing, and put it all together. That fixed my problem. It is possible you got sand/dirt in some of the connectors/sensors, might want to check them out. And look for loose/rubbed wires. Good luck!
