after the first set of injectors have been replaced does the replacement set typically last longer? (maybe they were made better or different? idk just wondering)

Maybe someone who had theirs replaced in late 2008 and later will chime in and give us an answer, I was wondering the same thing. From what I read on here 2008 was the latest change to the injectors. It may be too soon to know for sure because some injectors replaced in 2008 may be from the old inventory stock. I know a lot of the earlier injector changes didn't hold up.

We've put the most recent injectors into customers who have put over 100,000 miles on them with no problems. I'd say they finally got it right.
Here's a link to the most recent version of the injectors.

Squirters were replaced at 59K, back in 04/06.

Currently have 140K on that replacement set, keeping my fingers crossed to make it to 250K-300K mark with them!

Who "Replaced" them?

If it falls under warranty we always recommend taking advantage of the warranty and having the dealer replace them. But to be honest I have heard some not so great stories where the dealer "replaced" all 8, only to find out a year or 2 later there's still all but 1 or 2 injectors that are originals. I don't think it's really the dealer to blame; more so that some technicians are less than honest.
