I am looking at trading my 09 chev towards a kodiak with the monroe conversion. Is there a online pricing like NADA for these medium trucks?

NO!!! I had to get a copy of my trucks original invoice with costs and assign values with my banker to come up with something he would give a loan for. He was also only able to give me a Commercial loan for the truck as well. Which means Commercial insurance also. (not a problem for me as it was going to have it anyway), but you might check into this ahead of time. Others have posted this too saying they had the same issue.

NADA does have commercial truck pricing, but won't have values for upfit equipment like Monroe etc

It is a pain in the axle to get a used Monroe financed. I had to finance the cab and chassis and cover the Monroe upgrades with a down payment. I did not do a commercial loan. I worked out a good deal on my Kodiak because every one who tried to buy it could not get it financed. My medium duty dealer had a brand new 07 Monroe that I could have signed the papers and drove off the lot. $75K but GM would finance it for 8 years at %6.6 just need good credit. It's a pain but can be done. Good luck.

If you belong to a CU it's usually easier to get a loan on these....

If I were guessing by looking at Ebay prices with 30K miles it should be between $25K and $35K depending how it's equipped.

Unless your towing a lot or just want a toy, I find it hard to get rid of a 09 for a Kodiak. I bought mine for a toy. I was tired of everyone on the block having the same truck I have. Not any more, but at a price of ride and comfort. I noticed you live in Layton. I live in riverton. I used America First credit union. I recommend you going to your lender and get the cab and chasis value and see where you stand on the difference. If your close you may be able to work the deal from both sides. Lender may give you a little more and the seller may give a little to close the deal.

98% of the time i am towing if you go off how many miles I tow vs. unloaded. But I still want it to be a toy too. I will try that.

I am in Washington and have no business license so no commercial loan for me! I never did find somebody that would finance the truck. I had my newer cummins paid off so I traded my title for a new loan, the back cut me a check back for the amount I needed. Then went and paid cash for my kodiak!

I would assume a regular car loan has cheaper interest than a commercial loan.

I paid 19K for a 2005 crew cab with a decent flat bed, in Jan of this year, it was local and all service documented at local med. duty stealership! Down side was it had 100K miles. It was perfect though. No visible wear and tear inside or out.

Good luck with the loan, they are a nasty deal on used Kodiak as previously stated.

One more tip. If they ask if you have the Allison 3000, just say yes. You only have the 1000, but it will bring the value up a few thousand.

My insurance is cheaper on the '07 Kodiak than it was on my '06 3500.
