While rotating my tires tonight I noticed that on my front drivers sidr wheel that I can move it at least a 1/4" if I push on the top of the tire towards the truck, It is no the ball joints the only movement I see is the wheel and brake rotor moving, the backing plate stays and doesnt budge, I am assuming this is the bearings????

They only last about 60-70K. But they are fairly cheap ($190 at O-reilly) and easy to change. Here are some instructions

Its all finished everyone, I replaced the bearing tonight, it took me about two hours following this thread: http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71798
The only big issue I had was loosening the two bolts that hold the brake assembly on, I had to resort to a little heat from my oxy/acet torches and they came off.
I replaced the bearing with an AUTODIRECT bearing that I purchased from ebay, it was $70.00 shipped to my door this is the same bearings recomended to me by a local mechanic, he has installed several of them and has never had a problem.
Thanks for all of the help

I also ordered one of those. What's the thing with that much lower price? Saw others from $200-250

I went with the http://www.dmaxstore.com/ and had very good luck with their product and service. I doubt you will find a better warranty for the money.

I'd be weary of a $70 bearing when most are $200 . Mine just came from DMaxstore with a lifetime warranty.

JD4440,
I know what your saying about a $70 bearing vs a $200 one, However, I have alot of other things going on and needing $$$ so i decided to try it, I will keep a close eye on it and will report back my findings with it. Some on here have said they only have got 30K from a factory bearing, I was lucky and got 130K! only time will tell

Understand completely man. I haven't worked in a month myself.
Haven't checked everything propely yet, but I got wheel bearing (bought from eBay).
I got it yesterday and opened the box; the ABS wire was totally cut off from 1 place and damaged from 2 other places  seller agreed to change the bearing but shipping to US would be $100 + having the other shipped here = too expensive.
Is it ok to use the original wiring/sensor? Or should I try to fix the wire?

These are sealed bearings and aren't replaced. You scrap them and replace the front hub units DMAX store not junkbay. DMAX store can explain if you need help. Buy USA made units for safety. Your life is worth the extra few dollars.

Take your old speed sensor and wire out of your old hub and reuse it.
