My truck is a 93 it does not have a pmd.It will start and idle but when you mash on throttle it will die.I have already changed filter and lift pump.What can cause this.

ops might be not up to par. Open the t-valve in front of engine up with engine running and see if fuel comes out. If it does come out see if engine continues to run.

It does come out and continue to run at an idle

Check for sources of air in the fuel lines. A small pinhole in those lines will suck air in and fail to supply fuel to the IP. a leak will not necessarily show fuel to the ground either so crawl under and check the lines for rust through or bad connections allowing air into the airtight sealed fuel system.

When you changed the filter did you check the mesh filter dead center of the Fuel Management System as well. Be sure that filter is both still there and not clogged.
