i cleaned and replaced all the breaks last summer, new pads, new rotors greased the caiper pins removed all corrosion. i noticed that the front rotors inside are only using half the rotor surface. what gives... do you have to clean them up every year? never had a truck that had to have the breaks cleaned every year. sorry for the rant, but this is starting to be a pain.

i would seem that something else is causing the calipers to not line up correctly??

Where in Harford county??? I've got relatives in Havre de Grace. I miss Armed Forces Day at APB. Do they still put on a show?

As for the rotor's condition, evaluation of TODAY's pad fit, and the caliper's ability to slide, at tear down, will reveal why the inner pads aren't sweeping the rotor clean.

Just a guess, as I can't actually "feel" your truck, would be that the inner pads are not slip fit or looser, but rather, yours will need pried out. The time between fitments (lube and clean) is based upon road salt exposure, AND, how well everything was fitted at brake job time, and whether or not the bare metal critical points were coted (painted) at that time.

The pads can (should) be so loose, at fitment time, that they fall out. The only time the pads will rattle (while driving), on these trucks, is when the slide pins bind, due to improper, or lack of, grease.
