60,000 miles on my truck, it has 4x4 on the floor, im having a bit of noise coming up around the handle area, searched it on here but found nothing helpful. Is anyone else having this?. Does it just need new oil or is the shaft going down to the t-case rubbing on something? It isnt a loud noise, barely hear it when cruising but id like to fix the problem. Everything on truck is working fine, trans oil was changes a few weeks ago. What to do about it?????

Is the noise occuring while you are in 2WD or 4WD?

Oops, nevermind. Just saw the part where you said you are cruising. I've only known a couple people to cruise in 4WD on dry pavement.

2wd... cruising more so when power is on and road is un-even so the handle is jumping around a bit.

truck has been stock power until i added edge like 5 months ago and i only run level 1
(30 hp).

I know some noise is characteristic of a floor-shifted T-Case, at least more so than an electric shift.

ya well other my hearing as improved or it has gotten worse because i noticed it now and i never did the prevouis year of owning the truck, and im only 20! I think ill just put new synthetic 5w-30 amsoil in and drive it and ignore it, currently has the red ATF stuff, hasnt been leaking but heat can make it disappear from wat ive read on here, maby its a touch low.
