Can someone explain or determine if my diagnosis is correct with this:

It seems that if I put the throttle down really good about once or twice per tank I get better mileage.

This doesn't make much sense to me. I usually drive with light throttle and set the cruise on the speed limit for the best MPG. However, every now and then, I'll hit the throttle real good and get a little better mileage. Can someone tell me why?

Hey Turbo-Max, I'm in Tampa at the moment, would you mind if I drool on your truck since mine's back in Texas?

Well I put my pedal down constantly and it doesn't get me better mileage:muahaha:

Mine gets blown out good every day.

Funny you should mention that! I've been getting around 15-16 mpg (always hand calculated) in a combination of city and country roads. Hooked up the gooseneck (aprox. 10K lbs.) and had the juice set on level 3 and my foot to the floor a lot!!!

The next tank, running empty on the same roads I got 19.2 mpg, DRIVING NORMAL:eek:

Is there something to this or is the LLY just a FREAK:confused:. However, the next tank I was back down to 16.4 mpg. Wierd stuff.
