I looked around and read what posts there are out there. I think I may have a 6 speed tanny in my new 05 dmax, is there a way to tell other then feeling the truck shift?

I swear that I can feel the tranny shift 5 times from a stop that would indicate to me that there are 6 gears instead of the 5. As of right now my truck is stock no mods at all.

One of the "shifts" you're feeling is the torque converter locking . . . you've got a 5-speed.
