I know it's summer and it's hot but my question is for the cold. I live just South of DC but I was wondering if a grill cover would be benificial for my truck. I just bought it a little over a month ago and I have never had it in the cold. Will it benefit the engine, I drive 30 miles to work every day, 20 of those miles are on I-95. Thanks

The main reason I'm asking is for the benefit of the enigine and for me to stay warm also.

It definately helps warm the truck up in the morning. The trucks can do some funny things when in their "warm-up" mode, so the shorter we can keep that the better IMO

Does the 03 have a high idle mode and if it does, how do you make it work?

look for lb7 fast idle under tech tips. I Followed the directions on the site but eliminated the toggle switch for a cleaner install.
Instead of mounting a toggle switch inside the cab take the wire you installed coming from the engine bay and tap it into the green/white wire behind the brake pedal. It works perfect.

Yes, it will.
I put mine on in the fall when the highs are just into the 30's and take it off when it starts hitting 40 again.
The high idle will help with warm up, however it does not do s*** once you hit the highway.
But in DC if you use the high idle it will get stolen so warmth does not matter to you. LOL

It's worth it...just take it off once in a while to clean

What are everyones thoughts on the bumper cover?
I have used it a two or three winters and not others. It is a pain to put on and holds the road grime. I have not noticed much difference. Is there a reason to use it that I ammissing
