Just wondering if there is a problem using the tow haul mode while towing at 50 mph on the highway. I do use overdrive lockout, but can i also use tow haul mode

Yes, you can use Tow Haul all the time while towing. how much are you pulling? i don't see a reason to lock-out overdrive unless its REALLY heavy.

Yep. I do it all the time. It will keep the transmission a bit cooler.

Push and hold the T/H button. should have another light display on the cluster. That's how my '04 works.

If your truck is a 6 speed it is different than the 05 speed.

Mine is the 6 speed LLY. Is there a way to lock out overdrive?

Put it in "M" and down shift it to 4th. 5th and 6th are your OD gears. 4th is 1:1.

Well I knew I could do it manually, but I thought everyone else had a secret I didn't know about.

I use T/H a lot even without a load. Sometimes the T/H shifting pattern just suits the driving conditions better.

:exactly:Around here there are a lot of hills, and it's HOT!! If the speed limit is 45 or less and I'm in the hills, I prefer running in a lower gear with the TC locked rather that with it unlocked driving the trans temp up. I also used to live in a part of Kentucky where your steering wheel never saw straight. T/H was a dream when driving the twisty's with constant up's & downs.
