When accelerating at WOT on mine I regularly see 25-27 pounds of boost...(according to the attitude)

my 05 shows 20~22 psi on a mechanical boost gauge.

During a hard acceleration to get on the highway (unloaded) today (with the Edge on Level 3) I saw the attitude display 30 pounds for a second!! How could my turbo be producing this much boost? I thought there was some sort of blow off valve that limited it to 28 or something...

As I believe you were interested in "Stock" 05's, I was also seeing 20-25 while stock on my Autometer gage.

No, the LLY engines have a VGT, Variable Geometry Turbo, no wastegates on these bad boys. When I ran the Edge, I saw 31.2 lbs a few times.:ro)

Stock I would see spikes to ~23 psi, and 20-21 sustained at WOT.

With the pred/VA stack I occasionally see spikes of 27-28 psi under certian circumstances, but it still settles out at about 20-21 psi sustained at WOT.

With pred/VA stack and N2O, I have seen spikes to about 33 psi when the nitrous comes on, but still 20-21 on prolonged wot runs.

I am going to try to fool the boost sensor this week and see if I can't get it to 25+ psi sustained.
