On a 2WD, how long can I expect the wheel bearings, tie rod ends, ball joints, and other A-arm bushings to last?
On 1/2 ton trucks, I'd expect to start replacing this stuff between 100k and 120k, but I have no clue on the 3/4 ton how long it's expected to last.

Depends on the type of driving you do. Stick on good pavement and decent surfaced highways and 150 to 175K would be about right. If you do a lot of sagebrush busting and other rough off road stuff you can wear your front end components down to nothing in 30to 40K miles. Make sure the vehicle is lubed properly on a regular basis and stick with stock wheels and tires.

Thanks for the info. Shocks about when? The truck I'm picking up has 102k on it. Based on the interior and paint, I'd say its only been street driven.

I have just over 130k and the only things replaced so far are the shocks and both hubs. Total investment in the front end is about $600 that includes all 4 shocks and both hubs. No labor as I did it myself. All steering components are still tight and I am not expecting to replace anytime soon.

Biltstein 5100's are a favorite for these trucks. That's what I'm running. There are plenty of others. BTW, I replaced my shocks at 130k miles or there abouts, Front end components are otherwise still tight and I've only replaced one hub and the rear brakes. I'm currently at 155k miles.
