Newbie here, great place to learn about my d-max! I would like to change the r/joints myself, one-piece shaft. It looks like the caps have a glue of some sort visable around the snap-ring ends. Do I need to heat up the aluminum ears before pounding them out? ( I normally use a dead-blow hammer on steel shafts). I don't have access to a press, always used hammers,sockets,etc on steel shafts. Thanks for any help or idea's. Oh ya, it's an '02 GMc D/A cc/sb.

Yea, I had mine changed on my '01 at 34k miles. BTW you might want to increase your font size. That's some tiny print.:)
