Well right now I'am consider a 6in suspenion or either a 3in body I just wont to know if the body lift can hold up to alot of weight and how well it holds up. I would rather get the 3in so I can save money to get my trans done, all I wont to do is be able to fit 35's. Also I see yall are running 33's with no lift so I figure I could fit 35's with a body lift right?
Thanks for replys

I would say get the 6inch lift and your 35's now. Dont believe that they make a body lift for our trucks since they already have a some sort of factory body lift due to the Duramax/Allison. Also, I would say go with 18's max for the 35's....unless you like the look of big rim/small profile tires. Here is a pic of my rig and you can see the rest of the mod/pic by clicking on the link in my sig.

I'm with bodysurfer! Before I purchased my Super Duty I did all the research I could on lifts for a Chevy as that is all I had ever driven. I too was told that a body lift was not available for the 05 duramax. If it were, I surely wouldn't worry about the payload restraints. GO FOR THE 6". You won't be disappointed. Except of course when a Super Duty spanks your ass :ro)

I had a body lift and a suspension lift on my 2003 duramax/allison.. I ran 39'' MT's baja's.. I entered a truck pull and broke both cv joints, tie rods, and bent the hexx out of most everything in the front end.. After over 2 grand later I took the suspension lift off and kept the body lift and ran H2 wheels and 35's.. It looked great with gap gaurds and adjusted step bar brackets..
As far as payload, the body lift doesn't effect it at all.. The body doesn't actually sit flush on the frame.. I used a gasser kit from performance accessories.. Performance accessories now makes one if I'm not mistaken.. Good luck..

Yes they make a body lift for 05 duramaxs. Thanks for the info Morse, I would like to have some extra money for upgrades.

I am considering either the cognito leveling kit to get the front up (although I have cranked the torsion bars about 2"....or a 3" body lift kit.

I'd like to see photos of anyone that did a body lift only.

I assume the gap guards go in key areas to hide the new 3" gap"?

Performance Accessories makes it for both the Duramax and Cummins diesels. Here's there website: http://www.performanceaccessories.com
