I have searched for an answer and found that people have both tapped into the sensor wires, as well as used the PPE rail pressure harness to hook up there gauge, but i dont see myself tapping into the wires and electrical taping them as specified in the instructions. I got the auto meter cobalt rail pressure gauge, and i am all ears for suggestions on the best way to hook this up. If i were to tap into the 2 wires the instructions say to, and the truck starts running rough cause i put resistance in the wires to the truck itself, i will be SOL? i cant just "unplug" a splice :) what you guys think?

When I installed the ISSPRO rail pressure gauge, I looked at the "Y" plug. It is just that a true "Y". Tapping into the wires would be the same. As to unplugging the gauge, you just cut the wires to the gauge where the "Y" splice is located, BINGO added resistance gone.

y splice? is there something that came with your gauge or are u just reffering to stripping back some insulation and soldering? what did u insulate the circuit with after doing so? eletrical tape..heat shrink?

Use the PPE harness with YOUR gauge. It connects to the rail harness and the other end you can just crimp/solder on any connector you wish and hook it to the gauge.
