I'm doing some modifications to my truck. So far I've put a air intake kit, boost gauge installed, pyro gauge soon, and BD 4" exhaust. I'm getting ready to order the Max-E-Tork and boost controller.
My question is: I just had my PMD replaced under warranty and I'm not near my warranty running out. Should I go ahead and get the PMD isolator with the #7 resistor? Or should I wait a while since my PMD is new?
How much difference is there between the #7 and #9 resistor?
Thanks for your comments!

For boost controller, I hope you mean Turbo Master. Sounds like you're on your way to a good start though! I would remote mount the PMD now while it is fresh as it will last way longer than if you don't. I don't have first hand experience with the resistors (yet-I have a #9 on my shelf waiting for me to do the remote PMD mount aswell) but from everything I have heard on here that they don't really make a noticeable difference.

Yes, I do mean a Turbo Master. If I remote mount the PMD, can I buy wiring extender or is it just as easy to splice and wire my self?
Hi!
I've got a similar setup and just ordered an extension cable from Heath diesel. It has GM weatherpack connectors, saves you a LOT of work with splicing, and the stock cable is not very long so a bit tricky to work with doing that splicing. The extension was around $45 I think and is some 6 feet long. Good luck!

Wow Jess - Your Sig implies that you only have 15,000 miles on your rig?
Sincerely,
Rob :)
Well spotted! The truck actually does kilometres and when I tried to convert km to miles something went terribly wrong...
