I Have A 1996 1500 6.5, Just Swaped The Inj Pump To Pump #ds4831-5942. Now When I Get The Truck To 2000 Rpm & Hold The Pedal In The Same Place The Truck Keeps Going Until It Hits The Rev Limiter. Computer Said Wast Gate Solenoid, Changed That & Same Thing. Changed The Optic Sensor Still Nothing, I Am Lost On This One.any Help Would Be Great.

1) What was the reason for swapping the IP to start with?
2) was that 5942 a rebuild or a used one?
3) swapping the OS is not just plunking one in,it needs to set just right.
4) why swapping the OS for a waste gate code?
5) the 5942 is a 99 model,not sure if it'll work on a 95

Truck Was Running Fine Until The Injection Pump Went Bad. First Bought A New Pdm, Didnt Work. Changed Pump (used Off Running Motor) Now This.code Was P1656

Usually an IP has problems if the RPM's can not be held under control.but trying an other APP may clear that up.
Swapping the OS may have made it worse if it was not set exact.
Did you delete the code after WG solenoid change?

Lastly,did you set TDCO after IP swap.?

Do you have a OS filter on this 96,some do,some dont
