A rep from Superior returned my call today. He would not list a weight rating for the wheel but said he did not recommend it. To support that load you should have a forged wheel. He stated that they make the stock 2500HD wheel in Hungry and it "is extreamly tough and has undergone a lot of testing". He said they only make OEM wheels but said I should look at the forged wheels from Alcoa for aftermarket replacements.
So I guess loading the rear axle up to ~6500 lbs on these wheels is a bad idea. - Note to self.. read forum first... then buy.
That said does anyone what to buy the H2 wheels I just purchased off ebay? I bought them for $195. Or how can I mount these wheels on my GMC Yukon?

We figured out a while back that the H2 wheel is rated for 8600 GVW, since thats what the H2 is rated for.
We really need an info area where all the little tidbits of info we find out can be stored for easy access.

FYI- You may know this already but the H2 wheels fit the dodge trucks as well with a little opening of the center hole. You might check out some of the cummins forums and see what their pulling/hauling with them.
Not saying it hasn't happened but I have never heard of a failure.

I ran H2's on my last HD pulling a 10000lb fifth wheel without ever having any problems with the wheels. In fact I think the H2 wheels were better than the custom wheels I had on before. David

I think these rims can handle the load for a while. But the problem is fatigue. Overloading will cause small cracks to probagate through the casting until catistrophic failure occures. (They come a part) So my question is for how many miles can they be overloaded. I do not think they have been out long enough for anyone on the forum (who overloads them) to hit that point. I think thats why the Superior rep was insisting on forged rims. That manufacturing process creates a stronger end product with fewer voids. (voids are small air pocket in the casting) These voids are where the cracks start. If I was not towing a big fifthwheel I would use them. But Half the miles my truck gets are towing heavy and I always have my wife and kids when I am doing it.
Heck guys, Michael Tomac is truck pullin' with H2's. I haven't heard of him breaking these wheels.

What kind of weight does the sled put on his truck? (The pin weight)
Who has the most milles towing with these wheels and what weight were you towing?
Thanks for the help on this. I just priced rims at Les Schwab and they are 200-600 per rim. I would love for these rims to work out.
