All right guys, I need some help. Took about a 500 mile round trip and got
home to find my injectors leaking from the drivers side.I am making oil also and there is a huge leak from the fuel lines to the injectors on 2 injectors. I just had the injectors replaced about 7000 miles ago under warranty. I have taken it to 2 different Stealerships and they say its not under warranty and they both want to charge me around 650 bucks to fix both lines 4 hundred and chage for labor and about 2 hundred some for the parts. I think they reused the copper washers on the driver side when they did the injector job what do you guys think? Is this an easy fix or should it be under warranty?

The new injectors come with a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty from GM.

I would have your attorney right them a nice little letter before you sue them for crappy work.

If they did re use the return line seals, it will take just about as long to replace the seals as it does to change all the injectors.

Have you had the balance rates checked?

What is the name and phone number of the dealer that changed the injectors 7,000 miles ago?

Yes I checked the balance rates with my ppe and If im not mistaken they all were about +4- I dont remember if there was a decimal in it though. The Stealership was South Texas Gmc where they did the warranty work. Now the my truck is at a second stealership and they want to charge me a 150 dollar diagnostic fee if I choose not to do the work with them. If I do let them do the work it will be waived and I only have to pay about 640 or so.

Forgot to mention, I don't have the time nor tools to fix the job myself.
anybody else experienced this before with the dealership
?

I am not really following this. Which fuel lines are leaking and how can you/they tell. Yes a leaking fuel line will put fuel in your oil. I assume by copper washers you are talking about the return lines. If the return lines are leaking from the install I dont see how the installing dealer is not responcible. Even the high pressure lines to a point because they should have checked them for pitting. A torn oring can also cause the fuel to enter the crank case.

yes it is the return lines, you can visually see the fuel weeping out from the fuel lines. Are the return lines the ones that go to the center of the valve covers? If so then those are it. I dont see why both dealers wouldnt warranty them?

the lines going through the valve cover are the high pressure lines. To my knowledge they are not covered under the injector replacement, however they should be checked for pitting and must be torqued to 30ft#. Replaceing them is not very hard, but the parts average $100 ea.

Maybe try retorquing them yourself. Stealer may have tightened but not torqued them.

The stealership still has my vehicle and want to charge me 150 for diagnostic charges if dont let them do the work. So I cant check to see if there torqued down right.
