Well after 10,000 on the stock tires tomorrow I get rid of them. I am scared to run them much more they are splitting and the driver front looks like the tread is going to peal off  . I hoped to get through the summer but I don't want to lose a tire running down the road.
The tires I am getting are 285-75-16 Cooper Discover Radial ST's ):h I will be glad to rid myself of the stockers.

I have Cooper Discoverer ATRs & love them. I got rid of the stock Bridgestones before I had 500 miles on them & it wasn't soon enough.

Hey Deadfurrow, how's the road noise compared to stockers?
Thanx

I put on the Cooper ATR's before 200 miles on the original. I have had these on my Yukon, 2000 Sierra and I have the Cooper Discoverer ST's on my Jeep and I have had no problems. The road noise on the Jeep is a little loud with the top down but the ST's are more aggressive. I just put on the Banks Six Gun Bundle and these tires hook up very well. Also do great in the rain (very little slippage even with the banks). I would sugest these to anyone looking for tires.

With 30k+ miles on my ATRs, I can just barely hear some tire noise at highway speeds. I probably waited too long to get them balanced & rotated the last time, since before that, I could never hear them over the engine noise. Like JabbaJon said, I'd recommend the ATRs to anyone looking for a good all-purpose tire.

Thanks Deadfurrow. Did a little web surfing, and I kinda like the Cooper Discoverer Radial ST's. Anybody got these or an opinion?
Thanks.

I got the ST's put on the truck Fri. Good ride a little noise but nothing like a mud tire. I have had them on a Toyota for 10,000, they dont' show any wear and they function great in the rain and mud.

I have the S/Ts and have had them on for a couple months. Road noise isn't terrible and they have done well. One thing..............

I don't know how to post pictures :help2:. Have camera just to stupid to insert the pictures.
I had to tow my trailer to a construction site yesterday in the rain. Tires work great in the rain and mud once I got to the job site. A track hoe and back hoe had made a real soup pit of the job site ):h .

Good to hear you are likin the tires. To get pics up, go down to where it says manage attatchments. You then can upload them from your computer. You might have to resize them.

TLT,
I'm curious, is your truck stock height? I assume you kept the stock rims. If so any clearance problems. Did you have to trim the fender or air dam? Have you done any actual off roading and encountered rubbing? I just got my 2005 4X4 diesel last Wednesday. The stock tires are terrible and we do encounter a lot of mud during the winter in Havilah, CA. I need to replace them ASAP. Thanks very much.
