Are there Duramax 2011s on the lots yet anywhere? My dealer say very very soon like next couple weeks he is going to start getting diesels.

Mine will arrive this next week. But, it won't be on the lot very long. :) I have found a decent amount of gas trucks, but I've yet to see a diesel. I hope i like it. ;)

I'd say what you do see on the lots will be the ones people have orderd, till they get all the orders out of the way. i have been trying to test the new 6.7 and all the trucks on the lots i cant drive because they have already been sold.

I have driven two of the 2011 fords, first one was a true toad......went to another dealer and drove a dually, it ran well, something was obviously wrong with the first one....however I was not enthralled to even briefly considered stepping out of my 06. Also drove a cummins, liked it better than the fords but I think I will keep mine.

My dealer just got in 4 white gassers, all pretty plain.they had one parked next to a white 2010,which made it easy to tell that I like the new frontend better.I was hoping they would of got a black ltz with 18" wheels so I could see what mine will look like.

Got mine on Sunday. Just happened across the only one in Houston. Love it so far! 130 miles as of this morning, averaging 15.5mpg city driving according to the dash.

I completely agree! They are in the works. Since I didn't order the truck, I could only take what was on the lot.

awesome congrats! If you don't mind me asking, what's the last 5 of your VIN? If your dealer just got the truck, there's a possibility my truck was on the same transport!

Very nice truck, but you need to get her out of the rain.

The truck runs great, I have no complaints at all.

I would get her out of the rain, but it is Houston and she won't fit in my garage.

There was one black and loaded 2011 Dmax with the denali package on the local lot that sold the same day. I did get to check it out before it sold and they are sweet.

I'm hoping they're on the freakin lots in West Texas tomorrow! ;) I really need to get a few unloaded miles on the truck before pulling, and I need to get our race car to Dallas next week to get the axle and cage installed.

That's at a dealership 300 miles from me, and it's 300 higher in VIN than mine. So, with any luck, my truck is on the same transport and will be at my dealer tomorrow morning for an afternoon pickup. :) This waiting is freakin' killing me!

I saw 2 here today, both LTZ's. I wish they would have moved the urea tank. Talk about in a bad spot, not to mention it looks terrible.

boatboy

Where is the urea tank located? Does the stuff smell? Or does it have a chemical in it to make it benign?

RINGNEKS

The urea tank is located on the passenger side under the front door next to the frame. I just looked at an LT, cloth and very loaded and it stickered for 52,865.

Is it because the 2500 is a single rear wheel and the dually isn't? What is the logic in that?

The srw trucks have stable track and sway control, the duallys don't need it.

I wouldn't say they do need it, dually's are not required by the government to have it.

I didn't know the government required stable track and sway control on srw trucks, that is the first I've heard of it,when did they start that?I still don't think a dually will need it,compared to a srw.I would think a dually without it would still tow better than a srw with it.

I actually prefer the GMC 18's over the Chevrolet 18's. But to each their own.

You have to admit that at least GM is getting their act together in regards to wheel options and now at least offer something bigger than 16-17" and something wider than 6.5".

For 2012, any vehicle under 10,000 GVW will have to have Electronic Stabilty Control standard. While some of the new SRWs are over 10,000 GVW, GM has decided to put ESC standard on all SRW trucks.

I wouldn't call a DRW more stable than SRW on snow or ice....

So,do you think the new SRWs will be as stabile as the DRW on dry ground?I don't tow much in the winter.
