The temp was 100 outside, running "auto", I notice my climate fan was still near high speed and I was getting cold, controls set to 76 each side. This was not normal. I turned those settings up to 80 and the fan came down.
Look at the mirror and it says 79! The sensor at the grill looks intact.
Puzzled. Ideas?

I don't understand the first part: If outside temp is 100 and 76 is set for the A/C the fan will run full speed with recirculation a certain time and the fan speed will go down until just enough to keep that temp. This is when you enter start the truck and drive off.
If the sensor says its 79 than the fan speed will come down if set to 80. Did you set 60 afterwards to see whats happening?
Did you check the sensor inside on top of dash?
My A/C stopped completely for a while (some hours) - I could not get the compressor to work, checked all connections, plugs, fuses, swapped the Relais w/o success. After some hours everything worked fine again - no explanation for it. Looks like somebody had the same problem like me on two other trucks...

Had you just left a car wash when this happened? That's what happened to me.
I understand it doesn't make sense. The interior sensor is over the drivers head, correct? It compares against set point on the driver side controls, and uses oat (mirror) reading as an input for recirc, etc.

yes, hi fan speed. What happened to me was cold air blowing hard below my 76 set point.

Soory mods, thought I posted in the wrong place, did not see any explanation, so I didn't know you moved it.
