so i put the 6.5 heads and injectors in my 6.2 and now it wont start very easy? every thing else is stock.

Diaric 07-01-2010, 11:27 AM so it starts. give a better description of how its starting and what it is or isn't doing 88chevyfan93 07-01-2010, 12:03 PM well it acts like it aint getting much fuel! but the injector pump has been checked and it functions properly! and the injector lines are brand new and installed properly... and injectors have been checked by the MACK shop down the road! so i dont understand why it wont start very easy! glow plugs are new and they are getting current to them! i will crank and crank on this thing once in a while it will speed up for a second then slow down. then i tried to start with the battery charger hooked up to it on engine start and i cranked on it for a while kinda pumping the throttle and then it started and would run as long as i kept throttle to it! when i let out of the pedal it would die!:banghead: Joeairforce 07-01-2010, 12:31 PM Air leak into the fuel system and/or bad lift pump..... It's a real pain in the ass when it's doing it in the middle of winter like mine did. 4320Diesel 07-01-2010, 02:55 PM that, or you havnt worked the inital air out of the system yet. when i changed my ip and injectors and stuff it took FOREVER to get the air out, and then it wouldnt idle at all untill i held the throttle open for a few mins for it to work the air out. then i took it for a hard drive(foot to the floor a few times) to work the rest of the air out of the ip. after i did that it run like a champ. even a few weeks later it still had a little air, but now its all gone. | ||
