I have a 1999 GMC K2500 suburban and the fuel filter housing has a LEAK in it. It is not the O-Ring on the cover. The cover is screwed on tight. The bleeder is closed. And all of the fuel lines are clean and dry.

It is a substantial leak from the lower side. I think there is a primer pump and a warmer down there. I see the housing on line for $600. Is there a rebuild kit or an aftermarket filter assembly that a working man can afford? I am in florida and don't need a diesel warmer.

it could be the lower oring on the heater assy or the water in fuel probe.

i finally said screw it and replaced my fuelfilter with one from northern tool.
it is see through so i can see how much water is in it.

another problem i had was a hole in the bottom of the cast aluminum from all of the crud that had accumulated from the po not cleaning the unit properly.

Yeah.... if I had to guess it would probably be coming from the fuel filter heater o-ring. I had that problem last year and it sucked until I fixed it lol. Not saying for sure that is where yours is coming from, but it seems somewhat common for it to leak there.
