Does the chassis still use the wax coating, or is it painted?

Nice!

It looks like they use the same 20" rims on all models, lt, ltz, sle, slt, and Denali.

I haven't really been following the new trucks too much so the shot of the front diff. just surprised me. Looks like a relative of the original 14 bolt. Any tie rod pictures?

they are a fair amount bigger than the 01-10 tie rods but they still look "small" in proportion to everything else in the front end of the '11 trucks. The tie rod ends are bigger, and the ball joints are much bigger.

Did they do anything else to the front end suspension Ben?

the entire front suspension is all new and redesigned...its rated for 6,000lbs now, up from 4,670/4,800.

The ONE single part that carries over from the old front suspension is the sway bar end link bushing.

Just came from the first dealership around here with 2011s and they still have the same underbody coating as before no paint. The lower controll arms look massive and the rear springs are much beefier. The size of the hole in the bumper is the biggest diffrence my eye caught in looks and it was right next to a 2010 sikmmarly equipped an wasent even $200 more on the sticker.Didnt see under the hood no time to deal with salesmen.

So many people keep saying that the new 11s are going to cost sooo much more.

Side note. Its canada day here and Ram is offering free diesel upgrade on their heavy duties right now for like a week or something. Over $9k off sticker price for a diesel truck.

GM originally said there would be a price increase somewhere in the neighborhood of $4800 for the diesel and we are all glad they didn't do it.

And yeah they are going to have to give those dodges away compared to the 2011 Chevy and Fords

My dealer had heard a 5000 dollar figure..and they were telling me reality that probably meant 7,000. When i heard ford was holding..... i told them gm was going to have to hold....

glad to see they held pricing :)

Yeah, GM wouldn't release pricing until they saw what Ford was going to do. I ended up with $5,300 off of sticker, too, so I'm happy with that. The Ford Lariats I looked at both stickered for $60k. I don't know how much they're dealing on them right now. The second Ford moves on price you can count that GM will, too. From what I heard, (whatever that's worth) Ford spread out the additional emissions costs of the diesels over their entire truck line. So, every truck buyer pays for the diesel's jump in cost. I don't know how true that is, though.

I am 99% sure GM NEVER said that. It was purely the dealers pulling that out of their butt to try to scare people into buying trucks *now* instead of waiting for the improved 2011's

well I can tell you that I'm a 100% sure that a GM Area Sales rep told a dealer this. It may have been a scare tactic but it wasn't from the dealers, it was alot higher up.

My dealer is a friend and knows i wanted the latest........ they would have no incentive to tell me that....... they new i wanted 2011.......... they were just passing on what their rep had told them as far as costs because when i told her as soon as she could order it to order it..... she just wanted to make sure i wasn't to surprised when she delivered it and i had to write the check.

With my dealer it was told to them by the rep ( i know the family well).........
