I was taking a close look down in the liftervalley at the injector pump and stuff and noticed a small pool of oil ! I looked all over to see if I could find out where it was coming from but cant tell. I dont have my plastic 6.6 cover on top of the motor because I have a different intake but it is down below and goes toward the rear of the motor under the turbo. It is getting caught and pooling on one of the castingwalls across the valley by those 2 stainless plates. Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks

Hmmm maybe the intake boot on the compressor (of the turbocharger) is leaking?? It would leak a little bit of oil becuase of the pesky EGR valve dumps oily air back into the intake. Just take a look at the inside of your intercooler and you'll find it covered with oil!! Silly emmissions...

There is a turbo oil feed & drain tube up there, and that is about it for oil plumbing up top. I haven't seen any oil leaks up there, but lots of diesel leaks get trapped there...
