ok finally got a chance to test my theory that the brakes are sticking. first of all antilock seems to kick in at slow speeds. second i thought that something was sticking as the truck would have great power one day and none the next. well tonight it rained and truck ran great unlike earlier when it wasnt, seemed sluggish. im assuming with the rain that they didnt stick because of the lubrication. anyway pads are fine rotors LOOK fine all the way around. where would you start with a sticking problem?

I would check that the calipers slide freely on their rails. You *may* have a pinched line somewhere, but if it was in front you should be able to feel one side pulling I would think. Tons of great brake info at this link - pull up a chair and dig in...... http://aplsweb.com/Topics/Brakes.htm

yeah forgot to mention that, it pulls slightly to the left just before it stops, not every time though

I would think that if the brakes are dragging enough for you to detect a loss of power, then the rotors, or hubs would be hotter than normal on the wheels where the brakes were dragging. The hot rotor might even fade more than the others when applying the brake. That in turn could cause a "pull" to one side.

Have you tried looking for heat at the rotors when you are down on power?
