Truck has DTC 2565 and makes hardly any boost. Has happened three times in the last two days. When it happens I cant even hear the turbo. Shut the truck off and restart will sometimes make it go away and run fine, sometimes not. Is the vane position sensor bad or is it in the wiring somewhere? Thanks.

I threw the same 2565 code yesterday. I was towing about 10-11,000 lbs. and it was about 95-100 degrees. Speeds were around 70 mph.

I have an Edge and I noticed that the boost wouldn't go above 10.4. My engine, tranny temps were fine.

Was the turbo just getting too hot and protecting itself?

It seemed like the truck was always working to go down the highway and not just cruising down the road like in the past.

Anyone have info on this code?

I had the same codes a week ago. The truck was doggy but drivable. I made a appointment for friday the 23rd at my diesel shop. but in the mean time i put some howes fuel additive in and the light disappeared. Long term fix, i don't know. I'm still keeping my appointment.

Anyone know how much this vane sensor is to fix/replace?

I just installed a vane position sensor in my buddies truck. It was really easy to put in and cost $340.00. Sounds like that is what you need. We swapped one out of another truck to verify that it was bad.

That is what it was. $294.00 my cost. 10 minutes to change, BUT you need to do vvt relearn. Since I had a TECH 2, no problem, about 1 minute for that. Buddy says truck has more power than ever since he owned it.
