88lakeholiday 07-13-2005, 08:43 PM New to Diesel. I got a 04 2500HD LLY with 20k. Starting last week my glow plug light will not turn off no matter how long I wait. I live in Virginia and its mid July so I can't believe its that cold. After it has run for a while and I restart it the light turns right off. I'll take it to the dealer, but just looking for a little input first. wolfmanagh 07-13-2005, 08:56 PM I got the other problem, it don't seem to come on. Or I just can't find the light. (2005 c5500) briano 07-13-2005, 09:01 PM if it comes on and stays on then take it to the dealer..something is wrong. the LLY has a super fast glow plug warming so if you aren't watching or know where to look it will blink and you will miss it. Look in your manual for what the icon looks like on the dash and then first thing in the morning look in that area..it will blink for about 1 second and be gone. You'll be lucky to see it the rest of the day. lakingslayer 07-13-2005, 11:25 PM Probably the glow plug module or harness. Stealer should be able to fix it. Kessler Farms 07-14-2005, 10:15 AM On mine, you get to see the light about half a second in the summer. Last winter, it may have stayed on for 3-5 seconds on the coldest days (teens). | ||
