I was reflashing the ecm n it stoped ...now it keeps sayin bootloader failed...it wont respond to ecm or pcm

Unless you're on the side of the road it sounds like we need to move this to the EFI section......

It does sound like the ECM went south, anytime you start to flash it whether it would be with EFI Live or Hypertech or any tuner there is a risk involved.....I ownder if the dealer can reflash it back to stock again....
On edit: Maybe if you disconnect both batteries and then after hooking them up and trying again if that would have a some success...

it reads tcm wont read ecm...bootloader fails to read ecm...obd2 port powers up the efilive but wont read or reflash ecm....it reconizes the truck...im having it towed to dealer tomorrow to have the ecm reflashed by them...hopefully that works

i unhooked the batteries twice for 20min at a time...still no response from ecm...it disconnected from the obd2 port right at the begining of a complete reflash so i think the ecm might b unrecoverable... :0

Moved to EFILive...

I just had my computer replaced in my truck due to an efi live screw up...ill take the blam:notme....truck works n runs fine stock...when i went to install a new tune on it says either bootloader rejected ecm returned to normal try again, or it says cant read ecm...it wont tune the engine or the transmission...i get the say responses...:read
