I started having a loud knock at idle about 2 weeks ago. In or out of gear. I have been using 2 stroke oil for several months(16 oz to a tank). I just ran a double dose of Diesel Cleen thru it and just filled up with another double dose and added 2 stroke again. Im hoping it will quit, but Im thinking I finally had an injector go. No smoke, good performance, and it quits as soon as I give it a little throttle. Is it okay to run it like this for awhile?
Any other suggestions? I may need to take it to a shop for testing eventually,,

Have you checked the injector balance rates?

No, I would have a shop do that. I dont know what it takes, but I will research it here.

If it is a bad injector it will not hurt it to run it for a while in 99 out of 100 cases.

Bad thing is we do not know for sure right now what is causing the problem.
