: lift pump
Mickey_Cali_661 06-25-2010, 06:23 AM Ok i finally have all my mods including efi live (yay)
All i need now is a lift pump.
I only have about $450 maybe $500 and thats pushing it....
Anyone have any ideas? The quieter the better... thanks... :)
Tyler@MPF 06-25-2010, 08:44 AM Airdog 1, you can't go wrong with a Pureflow Product.
mreeves23 06-25-2010, 05:40 PM I would vote for an AirDog 1 as well. If you could swing $599, I would say AirDog 2. I carry both and as stated, Pureflow is a great company with great products! Let me know if I can help!
AlligatorPerformance 06-25-2010, 05:50 PM I've had great luck with AirDog products as well. If you don't want to spend the full $450/$500, you should look into the Raptor Pump by AirDog/Pureflow. It's the same pump as the AirDog, it just doesn't come with filters. Here is a couple of links the AD and the Raptor
Raptor Lift Pump (http://www.alligatorperformance.com/raptor-pftr1sbc136-adjustable-lift-pump-0108-duramax-p-3001.html)
AirDog 1 (http://www.alligatorperformance.com/fuel-seperation-system-flow-rate-fits-0108-duramax-p-2998.html)
AirDog II (http://www.alligatorperformance.com/airdog-pump-0109-duramax-adjustable-tank-drop-draw-straw-necessary-p-3867.html)
Mickey_Cali_661 06-25-2010, 07:56 PM So who can give me the cheapest price on the air dog II...? Or am I dealing with a bunch of "this is as low as we can go" kind of guys lol
mreeves23 06-25-2010, 09:19 PM In order to have a manufacturers warranty, the air dog II SHOULD be sold at $599 from any vendor. If not, you will have no warranty on the unit. AirDog has a minimum resale pricing policy for their products and any vendor who sells under that price can lose their dealer status with AirDog and more. I would be more than happy to help you out as best I can! I carry the AirDog units and get one out to you right away.
I found a good deal on a fass hpfp in the marketplace here. I like to buy used though, some don't.
Mickey_Cali_661 06-26-2010, 12:15 AM Thanks... :)
Mickey_Cali_661 06-28-2010, 02:44 AM What's the difference between air dog 1 & 2? Also is one quieter?
Tyler@MPF 06-28-2010, 08:34 AM The Airdog II has a few new features that give it over the edge over the AD1. The Airdog II has demand flow technology which means less fuel pulled from the tank and returned. The Airdog II also has a much quicker and easier install. The ADII is also the quiter of the two.
WI Huck 06-28-2010, 09:01 AM We have the FASS pumps listed here (http://www.hdiesel.com/product.asp?id=101). They are very quiet and reliable. The price is great also!
Mickey_Cali_661 06-28-2010, 01:05 PM What do u guys think of the 150gph FASS platinum fuel system that the guy above has?
MAX4X4 06-29-2010, 03:34 PM http://www.kennedydiesel.com/
He makes a nice set that is quiet and is a flow through design.
AlligatorPerformance 06-29-2010, 03:57 PM What do u guys think of the 150gph FASS platinum fuel system that the guy above has?
We've sold a few of those now, seem to install very easily, quiet pump and same air/water separation as the AirDog and other FASS units, just a single fuel filter/water separator instead of individual filters for each process. Not a bad unit for the money, imo. We have them too if you need. FASS Platinum (http://www.alligatorperformance.com/fass-platinum-series-lift-pump-p-4221.html)
romig 06-29-2010, 08:43 PM Dont buy fass or airdog
romig 06-29-2010, 08:44 PM buy kennedy period.
mreeves23 06-30-2010, 10:32 AM The FASS platinum pump is a good pump for the price as stated. It's a little cheaper and still does a good job of filtration and water/air separation. I carry FASS as well if you would like a price on the Air Dog or FASS unit, let me know.
n0useforaname 06-30-2010, 11:12 AM All I can tell you is, I had an Airdog II 165 installed and wouldn't go any other route. It's quiet as all get up, easy to install, lifetime warranty, extra filtering, and you don't have to worry about the 1/4 tank of gas issues that everyone dreads..... I just had a Stage IV tranny installed by the big dipper and even he said the 165 unit was nice to have...
slicknic 06-30-2010, 12:37 PM I ordered the Airdog II for mine. It should be arriving in the mail any day now

I read about lifetime warranty but I saw a warranty reg. card that said to return it within 30 days to activate your one year product warranty.
harperme 06-30-2010, 10:15 PM So, does the AirDog have a one year warranty or a lifetime.
Thanks
Mickey_Cali_661 06-30-2010, 10:23 PM I just got mine in the mail today.... thanks a lot alligator performance on the fast shipping...! Thanks everyone else for all the advice... :)

AlligatorPerformance 06-30-2010, 10:27 PM So, does the AirDog have a one year warranty or a lifetime.
Thanks
They are warrantied for life. If you don't send in the card, you are covered by a 1 year warranty.

Really? Do you know what you are even talking about, or are you just cheer leading for your favorite brand? The ¼ tank issues only happen when you get too large of a flow pump for your application. It is not brand specific. What do you think happens when 150 gallons per hour of fuel is being pumped (2.5 gallons per minute) and you only have a few gallons in your tank? Answer: Lots of foam and air pockets.
FASS also has the lifetime warranty when the registration card is sent in.
wagspe208 07-15-2010, 08:50 PM OK, FASS oe Raptor. I have a nictane, so only need the pump.
Or Kennedy.
