So in one of my not so briliant moments I scrubbed my stainless exhaust tip on my LBZ and I did a number to it! I dulled it up pretty bad. Any one have any ideas on how I can get this thing to shine again?

Can you take the tip off?

You should be able to get it buffed or polished.

Why don't you try to hand polish it. It might take a while but it usually worked good for me before I murdered my truck out

You can actually Use Quadruple 0 steel wool. It has to be 0000 Steel Wool that will actually polish the stainless back up.

I `ve never tried it yet but when i took my truck to the local muffler shop to get my tip welded on he said i will give you a tip on how to keep it clean. He said use baby powder and a shop towel. I have no idea if it works.

try rubbing it with some aluminum foil . you can also try Nevr Dull and a polishing ball. the softest steel wool you can get was also a good suggestion (00000)

You need power, hand rubbing wont do S--! Get some chrome polish which is basically a fine compound and use at least a drill buffer. Its going to take a bit of finesse and possible multiple tries. It also depends on the quality of the stainless on the tip. I doubt you could make it much worse, and good luck!

2000 grit wet sandpaper and then hit it with mother's ball/polish. You'll be glad you took the time to do it!!!!!!!!! It'll look like a mirror
