Ted White 06-25-2010, 02:23 AM Much as I would like to blame Canada's socialist leaning Government policies for the price of GM pickups, I have to be fair. It's almost entirely due to internal GM policies, for reasons that are not entirely clear. Many of the parts for the pickups are made in Canada. For example, if you look at the barcode label on the frame of the 2007 through 2010, and maybe the 2011, you will see Made In Canada on that frame. Parts and vehicles move freely between our 2 countries under the Auto Pact and NAFTA agreements, so there are no targetted taxes or duties. We have to blame GM.
