Well have put up with this long enough... The DIC has an auto Door lock feature. Great. I want to disavle the Auto door locks. There is no Disable feature. It will lock when i take it out of park or at 5mph and up. if i unlock at speed it will re lock the doors. I want to disable the Auto Door locks so the doors will not lock while driving. how can i do it but still maintain electric locks, the anti theft, and the FOB????

The dealer can program it so that they never lock. I posted the bulletin about that a year or so ago when I had mine done. I will try to find the posting, or you can search for it - but it can be done.

On edit go here: http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2048492&postcount=15

And yes this does work on 07.5+...

Zipman - let me know how it goes... it took a while to convince my dealer that it could be done on a NBS, but it only took just a few minutes after the tech got everything hooked up and ready to go.

Good luck!

So I Talked to my Stealer this morning... he asked for the doc. ID. so i turned the whole thing into a pdf and emailed it to him... he just replied. he said it requires a complete reprogram of the BCM. Considered a Customer Preferred option and the Stealer would charge $95.00.... WTH???? GM Disables certain features that are on the truck and then want to charge you to enable it??

they should do it for you under warranty if you are still under the 3yr/36000. i am the service advisor at a dealership and we do it for the customer if they are still under warranty, but i guess some dealers are different

Considering that it took less that 15 minutes to reprogram my truck, that's a pretty high labor rate!

Just like people having to pay to get the TPMS changed - just so that they can run a safe tire pressure without the message...another 10 minute job!

Try to find another dealer to do it cheaper. Remember any GM dealer can reprogram the BCM.
